In our first session, we will begin by establishing a safe and trusting therapeutic relationship. We will discuss your reasons for seeking therapy, your goals, and what you hope to gain from the process. I will actively listen to your concerns and provide a non-judgmental space where you can freely express your thoughts and emotions. Together, we will explore your past experiences, current challenges, and any patterns of thinking or behaviour that may be affecting your well-being. This initial session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and for me to gain a deeper understanding of your unique circumstances. There is no obligation to book a follow-up session. If you need more time, you can get in touch when you feel ready. Finding the right therapist is important, and I will be inviting you to reflect on that.
I offer the first session at half price. I understand that starting therapy can be a big decision, and I want to provide an opportunity for you to experience the benefits of therapy at a more accessible cost. This reduced rate allows you to explore the therapeutic process and establish a foundation for future sessions, without financial barriers. I believe that investing in your mental health is invaluable, and I want to make it more accessible for you to take this important step.
I believe that therapy works best when is scheduled regularly on the same day at the same time. The length of time you will stay in therapy vary from person to person. You might need a short course of sessions to explore a specific issue, or you might find that long-term therapy is what you need to explore difficult challenges or buried trauma. We will, however, have regular reviews to see if you are getting the most out of therapy and decide how long you wish to continue.
