About me

I am a registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), bound by its code of ethics and a commitment to ongoing professional development.

I worked in the science sector, where I was immersed in the pursuit of knowledge, research, and innovation. This experience instilled in me a deep appreciation for precision, critical thinking, and evidence-based practices. Simultaneously, I actively engaged with the vibrant world of artists and art enthusiasts, witnessing how self-expression and creativity profoundly impact well-being.

Transitioning to the charity sector, I collaborated with organisations dedicated to addressing societal issues, nurturing empathy and compassion. Later, in higher education, I assumed roles in teaching mental health and counselling, discovering the transformative power of education in shaping lives.

In private practice, I employ a person-centred approach, placing individuals at the core of the therapeutic process. It’s an approach that utilises your resources to provide a tailored understanding of your therapeutic journey. My genuine passion lies in supporting individuals from diverse backgrounds. I understand the unique challenges that people face, especially when dealing with anxiety and depression. Throughout my career, I have provided compassionate support to individuals who have endured the pain of rejection, carried the weight of unrealised aspirations, battled social anxiety, and navigated traumas specific to their personal journeys.

My dedication to mental health and counselling has led me to assist individuals facing diverse challenges, from trauma and anxiety to depression, addiction, and self-harm. I prioritise empathy, active listening, and unconditional positive regard in therapy, collaboratively navigating healing journeys, promoting growth, and empowering individuals to lead fulfilling lives.

Within the therapeutic space I provide, you’ll discover a safe, non-judgmental environment where you can openly explore your experiences and emotions. Please don’t hesitate to reach out; I would be honoured to be part of your transformative journey.
